Human trafficking is a worldwide epidemic that affects many.
Human trafficking is made up of 46% prostitution, meaning woman ranging from toddlers to adults are forced into sexual relations and are constantly having their bodies bought. These woman are being shipped all over the world! no one in this industry ever gives them a second though. They are just beaten when they do not obey, some even face death.
Another part of human trafficking is domestic servitude. this makes up 27%, and this is pretty much modern day slavery, as are most of these types of trafficking. the people forced into servitude will mostly do the same jobs as would a servant, although without any pay.
10% of people are put to work on farms, working in agricultural areas, and another 5% put to work in factories.
It seems that most people do not know much about it or even if they do, feel they can not help. There are some links to websites where you can get mor information about this massive epidemic, including how YOU can contribute to putting a stop to human trafficking.
